Empower yourself to make the best decisions for you and your family through childbirth & postpartum education.

Because as birth approaches, questions often become less theoretical and much more personal.
This baby you’ve been dreaming of for months will soon be in your arms. And between now and then, there is this huge step that is birth.
Maybe you’re looking forward to it. Maybe it scares you. Probably a little bit of both.
You wonder how your body will react. How you will feel when the intensity increases. If you’ll feel safe with the people around you.
And so you try to prepare yourself as much as possible.
You read, you ask questions and you try to understand what could happen in order to move into the unknown with a little more confidence.
But with so many messages and opinions about birth coming your way, it can sometimes be hard to understand what you truly want for your own birth.
And maybe that’s where a different kind of preparation begins: by becoming more aware of what you’re learning, how you’re feeling, and what truly matters to you.
When you ask yourself,
“What will help me through the intensity?”
“Is my body capable of giving birth?”
“How do I want to be accompanied in this moment?”
To me, preparing for a birth is really about getting to know yourself better so you can stay grounded when everything around you is shifting.
I believe this deeply because I, too, had to learn just how much of a difference that sense of grounding can make.
My name is Kendal. I created Nurture to Bloom because I believe that birth deserves to be restored to its full importance, far beyond an event to prepare for or go through.
Childbirth is a major life transition. One of those that stays with us forever. In our memory. In our bodies. In the way we remember it years later.
And I think we’ve lost that dimension a bit along the way.
We’ve learned how to manage birth from a medical perspective, but far less about how to navigate everything it stirs up emotionally, inwardly, and on a deeply human level.
That’s the missing piece I wanted to bring back to the heart of Nurture to Bloom: mindful birth preparation where knowledge matters, but where you also take the time to connect what you learn with what truly matters to you.
I’m a social worker, virtual doula, and mom to three wonderful girls.
Through my three birth experiences and my own journey into motherhood, I came to understand just how deeply this transition can transform a woman.

My approach is all about NURTURE and EMPOWERMENT.
I believe in NURTURE.
Nurturing the new baby. Nurturing the new mother. Nurturing their new bond. Nurturing all their family relationships.
I strive for parents to EMPOWER themselves.
Through childbirth and postpartum education, my purpose is to increase a mother’s confidence in their inner ability to birth, parent, and for them to feel empowered to make the best decisions for themselves and their families.
To do so, I believe in providing evidence-based information, in guiding mothers to tap into their intuition and trust their gut feeling, and in supporting them to advocate for themselves and their family.

A simple and intentional monthly email.
Crafted to make you feel connected and supported through your pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum and motherhood journey.
